Saving the Drowning Cormorant, or the Kerkini Lake, Greece

For sure, this is an odd sight, can you even imagine an agile swimmer such as cormorant drowning in the water? But let's start at the beginning. At 6.15 am, the Sun was just rising above the distant mountain.
I was driving along the legendary eastern levee of the Kerkini Lake in northern Greece and, listening to the first Golden Oriole flute, was slowly getting closer to a wooded Mt.
