I have never owned or ever thought about adopting cats/kittens. I am 66 and widowed since 1986. I am still recovering from work related injuries which made it impossible for me to adopt a dog. I went with my daughter to get a cat and fell in love with a cat they had who was up for adoption. I was informed that he needed more then I could give him and left the store crying. We went to adopt another dog at AHS at the Coon Rapids location, but when my hubby saw Escape we knew she was meant to be with us. She was true to her name and would get out of her collar and run. She even got out of a harness, stood right next to it to show me nothing would keep her from running. We changed her name to Maci hoping that would help! She has escaped three times and yesterday alone twice. She never goes far. We go up north and she is able to run free. She ran so fast that she ran about 20 ft. on her back legs alone.
